at featherstone periodontics & Implant Dentistry
All-on-4 Dental Implants Janesville WI is an innovative dental implant treatment that replaces missing, broken, or decayed teeth in the entire lower or upper jaw through the placement of four strategically placed posts. All-on-4 Dental Implants provide a natural looking corrections and natural feeling to the loss of teeth and will restore functionality, preserves the health of your surrounding teeth, and reduces your risk of developing additional oral or physical health issues.
In addition to the negative impact on the aesthetic appearance of your smile, the loss of any teeth can compromise your overall oral and physical health and cause additional issues to develop, such as a change in your bite, jaw joint pain, the loss of bone, and teeth to shift or drift. The loss of teeth will also inhibit your ability to eat and cause your face to sag, which will make you appear older. What to Expect During the All-on-4 Process
Before we begin to perform All-on-4 Dental Implants, we will conduct an in-depth dental and medical health history review to determine the reason why All-on-4 Dental Implants are necessary. This process will include an examination of your bite and for any indications of periodontal disease, loose teeth, bone loss, TMJ, or signs of oral cancer. Once this underlying cause has been identified and we determine that All-on-4 will be the appropriate treatment option for you, it will then be necessary to take diagnostic exams (X-Rays and a CT scan) to ensure you have sufficient jawbone density and to identify the precise placement of the implants.
Once the optimal locations are marked, the actual procedure will begin with the administration of a local anesthetic and/or sedation. Once your soft tissue is numb, we will extract any loose or unhealthy teeth. Next, four titanium posts are surgically placed in your jawbone. Once these posts are strategically positioned, it will take several months for them to fully integrate with jawbone (osseointegration), or fuse to the jawbone. During this period, temporary dentures are placed allowing you some normalcy during the fusing process.
When the jawbone has fully fused with the titanium posts, your permanent set of dentures will literally snap on to extensions that have been placed on the titanium posts. We will next evaluate the overall fit and aesthetic appearance. Following this, the All-on-4 process will be finalized, and you can begin to enjoy your rejuvenated healthy smile.
